Add Darren Thompson to the list of St. Joe's football players who know where they will be continuing their student-athlete careers after graduation. The running back/corner will attend Buffalo State.
The speedy Thompson averaged 4.7 yards per carry last season for the Marauders. He finished second on the team in rushing (458 yards) to fellow college-bound back Ryan Conschafter (Hobart and Williams Smith) and is a two-time first team All-Catholic. Thompson runs the 40-yard dash in 4.52 seconds.
He and four others made their commitments official during a ceremony Thursday at St. Joe's.
Dan Carr will head to University at Buffalo), Conschafter to Hobart, David Lauer will join Thompson at Buffalo State and Christopher Schaefer is heading to Baldwin Wallace.
