Daniel N. Maxwell of Clarence, a producer for Lawley Insurance, died Tuesday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. He was 73.
He was born in Rochester, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. John Fisher College. Mr. Maxwell earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University at Buffalo.
He had been in banking for decades and had worked for Lawley for about five years.
He was a Park Club member for more than four decades and a member of the St. John Fisher College board of trustees for 15 years.
Mr. Maxwell was an avid golfer and traveler. He was proud of his Irish ancestry and visited Ireland many times.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Nancy J. Hewitt; a daughter, Kelly German; two sons, Sean and Michael; a sister, Susan Delles; a brother, Patrick; and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph’s University Parish, 3269 Main St.
