Lockport man draws probation in painkiller case

LOCKPORT – A Lockport man who sold prescription painkillers to a police informant was placed on five years’ probation Friday by State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr.

Thomas E. Howard, 27, of Cottage Street, had been on interim probation for a year to earn a full probation term. Last April, Howard pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance for selling a combination of hydrocodone and acetaminophen to a police informant in Lockport on March 6, 2014.
