LEWISTON – A hiking trail along the Lower Niagara River will be closed three days next month due to work on an electrical transmission line.
Trail 7, between the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge and the New York Power Authority plant, will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 16 through 18, state parks officials announced.
National Grid and Hydro One in Ontario are planning to remove a transmission line.
The loop of Trail 7 to Trail 8, as well as Trail 8, will remain open. Signs will be posted at the trailheads indicating the temporary closures.
