Buffalo firefighters battled blazes at two vacant buildings late Wednesday night, one of which was intentionally set.
Firefighters were called to 3 Clifford St., off of Smith Street south of Exchange Street, at about 11:45 p.m., according to the Buffalo Fire Department alarm office.
That fire, which investigators believe is an arson case, started on the first floor, spreading to the second floor and attic. It caused $30,000 in damage.
Shortly before that fire, a blaze was reported at 461 Fillmore Ave., just north of William Street.
Firefighters were called to the vacant home shortly after 11 p.m. The blaze caused $40,000 in damage and the cause is under investigation.
