Man admits to felony in Lockport Walmart thefts

LOCKPORT – A Lockport man, barred from the Lockport Walmart because of repeated thefts, pleaded guilty to a felony Wednesday in Niagara County Court.

James J. Gould, 40, of Clinton Street, faces up to four years in prison when he returns before Judge Sara Sheldon July 27.

Assistant District Attorney Lisa M. Baehre said the conditions of Gould’s plea to attempted third-degree burglary for a June 21 theft at the Lockport Walmart included $688 in restitution and a pledge to stay out of all Walmarts.
