LOCKPORT – The Lockport Police Department is offering a prescription drug drop-off day in the City Hall parking lot on Main Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday .
Police Chief Michael F. Niethe said the event, set up in association with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, will “give residents an opportunity to safely dispose of unneeded medications.”
No questions will be asked about the drugs, Niethe said. Residents will be able to hand over the drugs at the police command post without getting out of their vehicles, Niethe said. Paint, chemicals and needles will not be accepted.
