LOCKPORT – A man who was arrested when Lockport police found a methamphetamine lab in the back of a woman’s van Sept. 26 pleaded guilty Wednesday in Niagara County Court.
Cody W. Milstead, 26, of Hawley Street, was admitted to the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment by Judge Sara Sheldon, who accepted his plea to fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Milstead risks up to 5 1/2 years in state prison if he washes out of the program.
Justine D. Crawford, 26, of Hawley Street, the owner and driver of the van in which police made the arrests on Walnut Street, pleaded guilty last month to attempted fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and is not entering diversion. Sheldon is to sentence her June 1.
