Wednesday morning is pretty chilly for late April.
The thermometer dipped to 31 degrees at Buffalo Niagara International Airport in Cheektowaga before 6 a.m. That's where the temperature stood at 7 a.m., and there's a chance it could dip by another degree or two, according to the National Weather Service.
Lockport and North Tonawanda had temperatures of 28 degrees shortly before 7:30 a.m. The average low for this date is 41 degrees.
Today will eventually warm up into the mid 50s, but forecasters predict Thursday morning will get nearly as chilly, with lows in the low- to mid-30s expected.
Rain showers are possible Thursday night and Friday during the day. High temperatures this weekend are expected to reach the low 60s. Saturday's supposed to be mostly sunny, but some rain is likely Sunday.
