North Tonawanda Public Library book sale starts Thursday

The Friends of the North Tonawanda Public Library will hold its 40th annual used book sale.

The public sale happens from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 28 and from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 29. Shoppers can bring a brown paper bag and fill it for $5 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 30 and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 1. Friends of the Library members get early access to the sale from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. April 27. Membership costs $5 per year or $8 per family.

It takes place at the library, 505 Meadow Drive in North Tonawanda.

Books are $2 for hardcover, $1 for paperback, 50 cents for romance-type paperbacks. Magazines are 25 cents or five for $1. Records, cassettes and VHS tapes are 25 cents. CDs and DVDs are $1.
