Bob Evans Farms will close 27 underperforming restaurants, the company said Monday. None of the restaurants in Western New York are affected, according to a list of locations provided by the company.
The closures are expected to recoup $20 million from sales of its properties.
The majority of the restaurants will close this month. The remaining six restaurants are leased and will close sometime next year. Employees will receive severance packages or the opportunity to join another location, the company said.
Bob Evans has locations in Amherst, Williamsville, Niagara Falls, Batavia, Dunkirk and the Town of Ellicott.
