A West Seneca man who appears to be making a habit of driving while drunk or impaired was arrested again early Saturday by Orchard Park police after they were called to the Tops store parking lot on Southwestern Boulevard .
The caller, according to police, said an intoxicated man had just left the store and intended to drive.
A car driven by Haffed Eloudi, 41, was stopped as it was about to leave the plaza and Eloudi was taken to the Police Department, authorities said. Eloudi, police said, initially gave a false name – his brother’s – and failed several sobriety tests. He was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs – his sixth DWI or DUI arrest in 10 years, according to police. His license already was revoked, the latest of eight license suspensions or revocations on his record.
In addition to the felony DWAI charge, Eloudi faces charges of felony aggravated unlicensed operation, criminal impersonation and failure to use an ignition interlock, along with traffic offenses. Eloudi remained in the Erie County Holding Center Saturday with bail set at $15,000 cash or $25,000 bond.
