NIAGARA FALLS — A man found passed out on a porch, a syringe in his hand and two bags of heroin by his side, was charged Monday in Niagara Falls.
Police investigating a shoplifting case on Pine Avenue just before 2 p.m. went searching for a suspect and found him on his porch in the 1100 block of Haeberle Avenue passed out on a couch on the porch with the needle in his hands and the two bags of heroin lying next to him on the couch.
The suspect, Pablo C. Morales, 35, of Haeberle Avenue, was able to be awakened and was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle.
He was also brought back to the store where he was identified as a shoplifting suspect and charged with petit larceny. He is also a suspect in six other shoplifting incidents over the past weeks, police reported.
