Lockport man pleads guilty to cocaine possession

LOCKPORT – A man who was caught with 11.83 grams of cocaine when police raided an apartment on Gabriel Drive in Lockport Jan. 15 pleaded guilty Thursday in Niagara County Court.

Willie B. Sanders, 26, of North Transit Street, Lockport, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Sanders also will have to forfeit $771 in cash he had with him with he was arrested. Judge Sara Sheldon scheduled sentencing for June 30; Sanders could be sent to prison for as long as 18 months.
