Lockport man admits to house burglary

LOCKPORT – Thomas M. Saraf, who burglarized a house on State Road in Lockport Feb. 19, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Niagara County Court.

Saraf, 31, of Amelia Street, Lockport, was admitted to the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment by Judge Sara Sheldon. Saraf risks up to seven years in prison if he washes out of treatment.

Assistant District Attorney Ryan K. Parisi said Saraf owes more than $10,000 in restitution, but the homeowner hasn’t supplied a full estimate of loss, and the amount will be set at a restitution hearing.
