Buffalo man found to be hiding heroin in his 8 year-old daughter’s coat

Buffalo Police investigating a report of a suspicious man at a city McDonald’s restaurant found a man carrying a loaded syringe and two bags of heroin on Tuesday.

But a further search by police found four more bundles of heroin, a total of 20 bags, which had been stashed in the coat pocket of the man’s 8-year-old daughter.

Donald Cooper, 26, of Kamper Avenue, was stopped and searched by police at the McDonalds at 1028 McKinley Avenue and charged just before 7 p.m. with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and seventh-degree criminal possession, as well as endangering the welfare of a child.
