Buffalo man arraigned on fifth DWI

LOCKPORT – A Buffalo man who has four previous convictions for driving while intoxicated was arraigned in State Supreme Court Tuesday on another DWI indictment.

Henry T. Brown Jr., 29, of Pooley Place, pleaded not guilty to felony DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right and circumventing an ignition interlock device.

Niagara County sheriff’s deputies, who stopped Brown shortly after 4 a.m. Feb. 27 on South Transit Road in the Town of Lockport, reported at the time that he was the designated driver for three other passengers, despite his license having been revoked. Brown told deputies he had three prior DWI convictions, but a subsequent check of his record showed he left one out.
