Two face marijuana charges after Jamestown traffic stop

JAMESTOWN – Two people were ticketed for marijuana possession on Sunday during a traffic stop in a grocery store parking lot.

Damien Jackson, 18, and a 17-year-old female were stopped for multiple infractions in the Tops Markets lot on Washington Street, State Police said. An odor of marijuana was coming from the inside of the vehicle.

The 17-year-old had a bag with about a third of an ounce of marijuana, while a grinder with marijuana residue was found in the vehicle, according to police.

Both were released with appearance tickets issued for Jamestown City Court.
