Why must some criticize every proposed project?
Here we go again. A new proposal for a 23-story glass apartment tower on Buffalo’s Outer Harbor faced its first public opposition and the same old problem with the critics. It’s too big, the color is not right, it’s located too close to the water, the glare might hurt my eyes.
Seriously, just build it! Someone comes up with $60 million to invest in Buffalo and we’re going to knock it.
Maybe these groups that object to the progress in our area should look at other bad decisions that have taken place over the years. For example, look at the Statler, which was sold to Mark Croce in 2011, and still looks like a building from downtown Baghdad. Now that’s a great project for the critics
