The Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas will hold a Women’s Expo Saturday.
The event features several small, local businesses, many of them owned by women. Dubbed “A Day of Pampering,” there are several fashion shows from such boutiques as Michele’s Motif, Janie’s Emporium and Hip Gypsy, which showcase a diverse group of models. There will several demonstrations, including fascinators by Floral Accents, floral arrangements by Sherwood Florist and a cooking demonstration from Webster’s Bistro, There’s also a salon “hair battle of up-dos” scheduled, in which Hizair will go head to head against Salon Envy.
The event will also host several fashion, finance, home product, health, beauty and jewelry vendors. It takes place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Tonawanda Castle, 69 Delaware St. in the City of Tonawanda. Tickets are $5. Admission is free for those age 16 and younger.
