USA Hockey names Drury as part of world championship management team

Chris Drury was one of USA Hockey's more decorated players. Now he's helping the organization off the ice.

Drury will be part of the management group for the U.S. team at the 2016 Men’s World Championship, USA Hockey announced Wednesday. The tournament will be played next month in Russia.

Jack Eichel played for the U.S. team last spring and is a candidate to do so again this year. Sabres coach Dan Bylsma was an assistant.

Drury played in three Olympics for the United States and was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in November. After retiring in 2011, the former Sabres center walked away from the game to focus on his family. He returned this season to take a development role with the New York Rangers.

Here is the profile of Drury from the November induction.
