Lowdown: Colorado State’s all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, Higgins piled up huge numbers in three years with the Rams. His production actually dipped in 2015, but that wasn’t a big surprise after the departure of quarterback Garrett Grayson and coach Jim McElwain. … Higgins’ 2014 season was outstanding, with 96 catches for 1,750 yards (a total that led the country), and 17 touchdowns. Those 17 TDs averaged 35 yards each. Higgins was a consensus All-American and a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s best receiver. … Nicknamed “Hollywood,” Higgins has an outgoing personality and is supremely confident in his abilities. … Does not have game-changing speed and will have to add strength at the next level, which should come in an NFL weightlifting program.
They said it: “I like the way he runs routes. I like the quickness out of his cuts and his consistency catching the football.” – ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper.
