LOCKPORT – For the second time in six days, Richard G. Duplessis, 34, of Harwood Avenue, Wilson, was in State Supreme Court Monday to plead guilty to an alcohol-related driving offense.
This time, he admitted to a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and marijuana. He crashed his vehicle into a tree in the City of Lockport Jan. 6, after which his blood alcohol content was measured at .08 percent. The blood test also showed traces of marijuana, which Duplessis said that he had smoked the day before the accident.
He is to be sentenced June 6 for that case and for a felony count of driving while intoxicated, to which he pleaded guilty Tuesday.That involved driving from Wheatfield to Lockport at speeds of up to 100 mph on Nov. 10.
