Amherst-based architectural firm Wendel said Monday that it had completed its purchase on Friday of a Virginia-based interior design firm, broadening its services and adding to a focus on the Mid-Atlantic region.
Wendel, design and construction firm, did not say how much it paid to acquire Evolve Architecture of Richmond, which specializes in interior design, space programming and planning. With the purchase, 14 professionals from Evolve, including co-founders Rosemary Bundy and Randy Blankenship, are joining Wendel, which will maintain the Evolve brand as part of Wendel.
“We are truly excited about the growth Wendel is experiencing nation-wide,” said Stewart Haney, Wendel’s president & CEO.
Based in Western New York, Wendel has offices in the New York City area, Rochester, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Washington, D.C., and Clarksburg, W. Va.
