The United Way of Buffalo and Erie County hopes to fill 1,250 “baby bundles” with essential items for infants in its fifth annual Community Baby Shower, which kicked off Monday April 4 and continues through May 12.
Local companies and individuals are invited to host a baby shower with friends to help the effort. Donations of brand new baby items, including diapers, wipes, and digital thermometers, as well as cash contributions and gift cards, can be dropped off at United Way offices at 742 Delaware Ave.
The gift bags will be distributed to at-risk mothers through three United Way-funded agencies – the Catholic Charities of Buffalo WIC program, the Buffalo Prenatal Perinatal Network and the Jericho Road Community Health Center Priscilla Project.
