“A man is a fool if he drinks before he reaches the age of 50, and a fool if he doesn't afterward,” so said Frank Lloyd Wright (apparently).
While we don’t agree with the architectural master on the first point, we are happy to report you have the opportunity to attend two Wright drinking days this spring and summer.
As part of its adult education programs, the Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House Complex (125 Jewett Parkway) will offer two libation-centric events. It’s never too early to plan:
Whiskey & Wright
6 to 7:30 p.m. April 14
$25 ($20 members)
BFLO Distilling Company (makers of bourbon and apple brandy) will provide tastings along with a discussion about the process and history of whiskey and bourbon in Buffalo.
Bring home a Roycroft-designed rocks glass.
Bricks & Brews
6 to 9 p.m. July 15
$50 ($45 members)
Local breweries will provide samples of craft beers with local food trucks supplying food. Music by the Honey Smugglers.
