Bankruptcy filings in the Buffalo-Rochester market dropped 6.3 percent in March from a year ago, after a rare spike in February.
Total filings were 404, compared to 431 in March 2015. Three months into the year, total filings were 1,007, virtually unchanged from a year ago.
Bankruptcy filings in the region rose 20.2 percent in February. That was the first year-over-year increase for any month since July 2015.
