BATAVIA – A Batavia woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a police investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in the City of Batavia.
Jennifer M. Moore, 30, of Tracy Avenue, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both class-B felonies, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office said.
Moore was arrested on a Genesee County Grand Jury Indictment Warrant, the Sheriff’s Office said. The Genesee County Drug Task Force carried out the arrest, along with officers from the Batavia Police Department. She was arraigned at Genesee County Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail.
An investigation into the sale of drugs from Moore’s address is ongoing, the Sheriff’s Office said. Further charges are pending.
The drug task force is made up of members from the Sheriff’s Office, Batavia Police Department and the Leroy Village Police Department. The Genesee County District Attorney’s Office also assisted with the investigation.
