Bisons on a roll; three games left

Anthony Alford had two hits to lead the Buffalo Bisons to a 4-3 win over the Indianapolis Indians in Bradenton, Fla., on Sunday. It was the Herd’s third win in its last four games.

Alford, rated as the Toronto Blue Jays’ top prospect, had a double, a run batted in and a run scored. Fellow outfielder Dwight Smith also had two hits.

Chad Girodo earned the win, as he pitched the final 1.2 innings.

The Bisons have three more games on their spring schedule before they break camp and head to Buffalo for the 2016 season. Buffalo will host Indianapolis on Monday afternoon. The Bisons’ home opener is on April 14.
