BERLIN, Marjorie

Berlin - Marjorie March 17, 2016 after a brief illness in Naples, FL, where she had resided for many years. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 21, 1926 to Ruth O. and John Russell Caldwell. Marjorie was the youngest of three daughters who predeceased her, Louise Caldwell, Criss and Barbara Caldwell Blackburn. Marjorie was graduated from Chatham College with a degree in chemistry. She worked for the Heinz company and DuPont Chemical company until her marriage to John Canfield Berlin. They moved to Buffalo, New York and raised their two children, Joanne, who remained in Buffalo and Stephen (Nancy) who moved to Wellesley, MA. Mrs. Berlin served on numerous civic projects and was very active in her husband's real estate business. She was an avid reader and loved politics, art and history. She also loved to travel. She will be remembered as a vibrant, intelligent woman who was ahead of her time. She loved and cared for all those around her and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children and three grandchildren, Jamie, Lisa and Dana of New York City as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband at a time to be arranged.
