College Clips for March 23

Brockport: Senior Lily Jagodzinski (Williamsville North) earned first-team all-American on the balance beam (fourth place, 9.775) and second-team status on the floor (10th, 9.7) during the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Division III nationals at Brockport. Jagodzinski was a five-time all-American during her career with the Golden Eagles, who placed second to Wisconsin-Lacrosse at the nationals.

Cortland: Freshman Rachel Filipski (Lancaster) matched her collegiate career best with a 9.7 on the vault to place seventh and earn second-team all-American status during the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Division III nationals at Brockport. Filipski was last year’s NYSPHSAA champion in the vault.

Hobart: Junior goalie Jackson Brown (Timon/St. Jude) was named the Northeast Conference men’s lacrosse defensive player of the week as he posted 11 saves in victories over Canisius and Wagner. In eight starts this season Brown is 5-3 with a .500 save percentage. He ranks sixth on the school’s career list for wins (12) and saves (253).
