Police charged a North Tonawanda woman with aggravated driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop early Sunday in the City of Tonawanda.
Judy R. Kowarko, 37, of Fairfax Avenue, was pulled over after she made a U-turn across the center lines on Main Street just before 4 a.m., City of Tonawanda police said. Kowarko registered a blood-alcohol level of .22 percent, nearly three times the legal limit of .08 percent, police said.
She was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI, and was ticketed for crossing center lines, using the wrong lane of traffic and having an expired registration. She was held on $250 bail.
