Tattoo machines, ammunition stolen in break-in at Newfane home

NEWFANE – Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies said they are investigating the theft of items worth $1,700 from an Althea Street home in the early stages of foreclosure.

The property, owned by an Olcott man, was entered sometime between Sunday and Wednesday. Deputies reported a side door was damaged and there was damage to walls and floorboards. Items missing included tattoo machines, ammunition, power tools and electronics.

Deputies, who hat the home may have been winterized as part of a pre-foreclosure procedure. An investigation is underway.
