Narcan used to revive woman who overdosed on heroin in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS – Emergency crews had to administer two doses of Narcan about 10 a.m. Saturday morning to resuscitate a 29-year-old Niagara Falls woman who overdosed on heroin, authorities said.

The woman was found “in a stupor”’ in a room of the Red Maple Inn on Rainbow Boulevard, where three hypodermic syringes, spoons with suspected drug residue, razor blades and baking soda were found, said police, who added that inside a dresser drawer, they alos found a piece of glass with white residue on it, along with a white, chunky substance.

The man who summoned 911 could not be located by emergency crews, police said. The victim was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for further evaluation.
