Buffalo ex-convict indicted on gun charge

A 38-year-old Buffalo man who served a state prison term on a firearms conviction was indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Aaron “B-Wise” Lucas, if convicted as charged, faces a federal prison term of up to ten years, according to U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan A. Tokash said late last October Lucas was arrested for having a .22-caliber semi-automatic rifle. Because of his state court firearms conviction Lucas cannot legally possess any firearm, she said. He was paroled in 2006 after three years in custody on the earlier gun case, Tokash said. Lucas faces arraignment on the federal charge March 30.
