Buffalo News Staff Writer Mark Sommer will interview Lawrence Brooks, author of "Buffalo Niagara: Diagnosis and Prescription for Change,” Wednesday evening at Talking Leaves bookstore.

The two will discuss the book, which uses exhaustive research to make the argument that the Buffalo-Niagara region is experiencing a resurgence - but one that isn't as strong as in the past because of clear weaknesses in human, social and environmental capital that help makes up the fabric of life in Western New York.

The presentation starts at 7 p.m. at the bookstore, 3158 Main Ave.

“Buffalo Niagara: Diagnosis and Prescription for Change” costs $29.99 and is available at Talking Leaves, the Buffalo History Museum, rpsspublishing.com and healthycommunitynetwork.com.
