The Buffalo Bills’ locker room has gotten far less interesting in the past few days.
With the departure of Mario Williams, Nigel Bradham and Leodis McKelvin, the Bills are losing three players who, in their own ways, provided an interesting glimpse at the state of the team.
McKelvin never had a filter, memorably saying the Bills would go to Miami and “beat that ... Point blank, period” shortly after a crushing loss to Kansas City in 2014.
Bradham likewise was a breath of fresh air. From taking responsibility for a one-game suspension earlier in his career to the challenges of personal problems, he was always a compelling interview subject.
Williams was more of a challenge. He made it clear the media part of his job was one he could do without. But he also was honest in his responses, especially this past season.
Replacing each of the three on the field will be a big enough challenge for General Manager Doug Whaley. Finding three players as interesting might just be impossible.
