Rachel Platten, Disney stars among Darien's free in-park concert series

Disney stars Laura Marano and Sabrina Carpenter, YouTube sensation Jacob Whitesides and "Fight Song" star Rachel Platten are part of the new lineup of free in-park concerts planned for Darien Lake in 2016.

The concerts are included for free with paid admission to Darien Lake which is available now. Season tickets are $64.99 through Memorial Day, $69.99 from May 31 to June 26 and $74.99 after that and include free parking, three free tickets for friends and a souvenir mug with $1.25 refills. Laura Marano and Jacob Whitesides, 6 p.m. May 28.

Marano recently won a Kids Choice Award for her role as Ally in the hit Disney TV show "Austin & Ally." A songwriter of more than 100 songs, she is going into the studio to record her first album.Her acting also includes the Disney channel original movie "Bad Hair Day"; voiceover work in "Finding Nemo" and "Ice Age 2: the Meltdown"; and recurring roles on such TV shows as "Without a Trace."

Whitesides, 17, first garnered attention with his cover of Justin Bieber's "One Time" which he recorded on his laptop.  His debut EP "A Piece of Me" hit No. 1 on iTunes and topped charts around the world.

Platten's inspirational hit single "Fight Song" sold more than 2 million downloads before it was released on her major label debut "Wildfire" in January. Her new single is "Stand By You."

Starring as Maya on "Girl Meets World," Carpenter released her debut album "Eyes Wide Open" in 2015, which features the single ""We'll Be The Stars." She won a Radio Disney Music Award for Best Crush Song for "Can't Blame a Girl For Trying."
