Falls man gets plea deal in $1,000 theft

LOCKPORT – A man who stole $1,000 from a friend, reportedly by pulling a gun on him in a car, was allowed to plead guilty Friday to petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon scheduled sentencing May 10 for Omoro T. Colvin, 38, of 10th Street, Niagara Falls, in connection with the Oct. 17, 2013, theft.

Colvin, who agreed to repay the money, was giving the victim a ride in a vehicle when the crime occurred.
