Amherst money management firm Schroeder, Braxton & Vogt is changing its name to Level Financial Advisors.
The name change, which will take effect on March 14, is part of the firm’s long-term plan for growth and succession beyond its long-time partners Roseanne Braxton and Richard Schroeder.
Certified financial planner Steven Elwell and Michael Heburn, the firm’s chief operating officer, joined the firm’s ownership group last year.
“We want our clients to know that we are a team,” Schroeder said. “It’s more than just Richard Schroeder or Roseanne Braxton.”
The 11-employee company, which had $261 million under management at the end of last year, also would like to expand by merging or acquiring other local or regional investment firms as the money management industry consolidates.
