3-year-old boy who survived Feb. 19 fire released from hospital

A 3-year-old boy who was overcome by smoke inhalation in a Feb. 19 fire that claimed the life of his father 19 was discharged Thursday from Women & Children’s Hospital.

While Demetrius Thomas Johnson recovers, his sister, Treasure Brighon, 8, is in Shriners Hospitals for Children in Cincinnati for specialized care after receiving burns across 90 percent of her body. Their father, also named Demetrius Johnson, perished while rescuing the children.
