Red Cross gets $50,000 donation for Home Fire Campaign

National Fire Adjustment Co. has donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross for its Home Fire Campaign, which is to be used in the Western and Central New York Region to install smoke alarms in homes and encourage households to make plans for how to escape in case of fire.

Red Cross volunteers have installed nearly 3,000 smoke alarms in homes in Western New York since July 2015. Volunteers also helped families develop fire escape plans.

Anyone in need of a smoke alarm can call 878-2353 or email to schedule an appointment.
