An $800,000 technology budget was presented during the meeting of the Cleveland Hill School Board Wednesday night.
Larry King, director of technology for the district, presented the budget for computer services that includes equipment, software, contracts, supplies and BOCES services. That figure compares with about $840,000 last year.
“Most of that (difference) was because last year we purchased new software that was over $100,000,” King said. “So that was a onetime cost.”
On other issues: • Cleveland Hill is redoing its policy manual with some changes to the code of ethics, attendance policy and staff probation and tenure issues, according to Superintendent Jon MacSwan. The new attendance policy could be adopted as soon as July, the superintendent added.
• The board announced January’s students of the month: elementary, Bryce Ebersole; middle, Abigail Hart; and high school: Alicia Huff.
