Traffic stop for cellphone use yields more serious charges

LEWISTON – A Niagara Falls woman is facing drug and other charges after being pulled over on State Route 104 Saturday for using her cellphone while driving, State Police said.

Jennifer M. Orszulak, 42, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Police reported finding about 4 grams of cocaine and one gram of marijuana in plastic bags in the car.

Orszulak also was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and using a portable electronic device while driving. She was ordered to appear in Lewiston Town Court on March 22.
