The Stamm Law Firm in Williamsville has acquired Campbell, Bolas & Associates in Clarence, creating a suburban law practice with a dozen lawyers and an 11-member support staff.
The acquisition, which follows a national trend toward smaller law firms merging with larger ones, solidifies the succession plan for the firm founded by Richard L. Campbell and provides a way for the Stamm Law Firm to expand into Clarence and the northern and central suburbs, from Akron and Newstead to Lancaster. Campbell and Stamm Law Firm senior partner Gregory Stamm were classmates at the University of Buffalo Law School more than 40 years ago.
Both firms focus on estate planning and litigation, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and probate, along with business and real estate law. Stamm also has a litigation department for personal injury, medical issues and business disputes.
“We are excited about this move because my dad and I live in Clarence and we want to strengthen our firm’s presence in those areas and be able to provide high-quality legal services to the residents there,” said Bradley J. Stamm, a Stamm Law Firm partner.
“Dick is excited because there is an ultimate succession plan in place so his longtime clients and friends (and their families) will be taken care of legally for many years to come by lawyers that he trusts,” Stamm said.
Campbell plans to keep working. The Campbell Bolas office in Clarence will remain open and maintain the firm’s name “for a while,” Stamm said.
