One of two Tonawanda credit card thieves jailed

The arrest and jailing of a 34-year-old Town of Tonawanda man, one of two suspects being sought in a week-old credit card theft case, was announced by Town of Tonawanda Police Monday.

Police caught Nicholas M. Montague Sunday after the local media showed a video of Montague and the still-fugitive Jacob Logan, 41, according to Police Capt. Joseph F. Carosi.

Montague is in custody in the Erie County Holding Center on a felony charge of criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny.

Logan, whose last known address was in North Tonawanda, is also facing felony stolen property and petit larceny charges, Carosi said.

Anyone with information about Logan’s whereabouts is asked to call the Town of Tonawanda Police Confidential Tip Line at 879-6606.
