BNRinkside: Quinnipiac still No. 1, Robert Morris receiving votes

Quinnipiac kept its hold on the top spot in the latest Men's Division I Hockey Poll but Boston College is gaining ground. The Eagles swept Vermont and at 23-4-5 are undefeated in 2016. That being said, Bosotn College comes in at No. 4 on my ballot only because St. Cloud State and North Dakota keep on winning.

Minnesota makes its way into the top 20 this week -- odd since the Golden Gophers were idle. But at 16-13-0 overall they are tied for 16th in the Pairwise rankings and currently sit in first place in the Big 10. So there's that.

Robert Morris is still among teams receiving votes, the only Atlantic Hockey team in the poll. But with Pairwise of 23, the Colonials need to win the conference tournament and snag the automatic qualifier in order to make the NCAA tournament this season.

My weekly ballot:

1. Quinnipiac
2. St. Cloud State
3. North Dakota
4. Boston College
5. Providence
6. Michigan
7. Denver
8. Boston University
9. Yale
10. Nebraska-Omaha
11. Notre Dame
12. UMass-Lowell
13. Harvard
14. Penn State
15. Michigan Tech
16. Cornell
17. Rensselaer
18. St. Lawrence
19. Minnesota
20. Minnesota State
