Micha Pilyugin of St. Bonaventure won his third individual title of the meet Saturday, finishing first in the 200-yard backstroke final in the Atlantic 10 Conference men’s and women’s swimming and diving championships in Geneva, Ohio.
Pilyugin, who won the 50 freestyle on Thursday and the 100 backstroke on Friday, was clocked in 1:42.96, which met the NCAA B qualifying standard. He is a senior from Redding, Conn.
Massachusetts won the men’s team championship with 671.2 points. St. Bonaventure was second with 482.3. Richmond led the women’s teams with 653.5. Bona was 10th with 187.
Connor Mergler of Buffalo State (Williamsville North) won the men’s 100 freestyle in 44.89, meeting the NCAA Division III B standard in the SUNYAC championships at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center.
Meghan Bartlett of Fredonia won the women’s 3-meter diving with 489.30 points.
Geneseo easily won both the men’s and women’s team titles. Buffalo State’s men were seventh and the women eighth.
