TOWN OF NIAGARA – A man with a previous a history of drunk driving faces felony charges after he was stopped by New York state troopers and found to be driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs on Wednesday.
Troopers located the suspect’s vehicle after reports that he had been swerving in and out of traffic on Porter Road.
Germaine V. Brown, of Niagara Falls was stopped at he entered Interstate-190. Troopers also found a partial strip of the narcotic suboxone.
Brown was charged with felony driving while intoxicated for having a conviction within the past 10 years, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
Brown was issued an appearance ticket and traffic tickets. A court date was set for Feb. 22 in the Town of Niagara.
