Niagara Sheriff’s Department has located 14-year-old Lockport runaway

LOCKPORT – The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office reported Friday, via Twitter, that it had located a runaway teen who may have tampered with a monitoring device while under house arrest.

The sheriff’s department Wednesday morning had reported the teen was missing.

Darryl L. Cooke, 14, ran away from his home on Ruhlmann Road in the Town of Lockport on Sunday night.

A family member reported Cooke missing at around 11:30 p.m. A probation officer had visited the home after receiving a tamper alarm from Cooke’s device just prior to the deputy’s arrival, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.
